The June 2024 Cheltenham Branch Summer Outing was to Waddesdon Manor in Hertfordshire. A group of Cheltenham (and other) Branch members and guests visited this French Renaissance-style château, built by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild to house his collections. Attendees of the 2024 Summer Outing were treated to some 65 clocks (and several watches) including astronomical clocks, calendar clocks, cartel clocks, musical clocks, clocks with automata…and a musical clockwork elephant!
