The Cheltenham Branch Clock, Watch and Tool Fair, also in May, exceeded all expectations, with attendance more than double that of any previous year. Stallholders reported good sales of antique clocks*, tools and materials. Both stallholders and visitors were treated to a splendid selection of home-made sausage rolls, cakes and biscuits and a constant supply of tea and coffee. Visitors brought in well over a dozen clocks to the “Clock Clinic” where these were assessed, minor adjustments made, and in the majority of cases referred to BHI accredited repairers for servicing. Having started out as a few “Rummage Tables” at a Branch meeting in 2018, this fair has developed into a highly successful and enjoyable annual event. Cheltenham members have our hard-working committee to thank for organising this, and all the stallholders and visitors for making it a success.
