At the end of April Cheltenham Branch held our third Clock and Watch Fair. This was the second in our current venue (Parklands) and the first to be advertised widely outside of the BHI membership. The Branch was limited to 20 tables by the facilities available and were rapidly oversubscribed, so priority was given to external stallholders. Footfall at the fair was significantly higher than usual, giving a similar buyer / seller ratio to that of the more established fairs. Sales of tools, parts, and clocks and watches for restoration went well, but there were few buyers for fully restored watches and clocks. Feedback from stallholders rated the fair as amongst the most friendly that they had attended and most indicated that they would attend future Cheltenham fairs. The Branch would like to thank all BHI members who supported the fair, and hope to repeat this event in the near future.
